# Can we change the forum color scheme?

The theme is jarring to the eyes. The contrast is too high, it is difficult to distinguish code blocks from regular text, `inline code` is very hard to tell apart from regular text, and other issues. The default Discourse theme is **much** better (did you notive that "much" was bold?).

Can we at least use the default theme until a better theme is found or made? The current theme makes the site difficult and unpleasant to read.

hey @trusktr you're not wrong, it's definitely lacking. time is finite and experts are scarce, i guess. it's a to-do to improve, but until that date we have (and have had) a "light" theme option as well. you can set it from your preferences.
